Welcome To The Pagan Community Council Of Ohio

Merry Meet

On March 25, 2009 the folowing announcement was made by the President of the PCCO:

Last night a discussion was had among the Council Executives. At that time it was unanimously agreed that folding was the best option for the council. This decision was not made lightly nor in haste.

No matter how a group reorganizes/realigns/revamps itself, without consistent community support, the group cannot be sustained. While there are those few who are just members on committees, trying to make a difference, that are neither Committee Heads nor Executives...it simply isn't enough keep afloat. Bluntly, there's not enough steady community support to continue the organization. To those few, we extend our heartfelt gratitude.

Greening is being canceled. At Summerset 2008, less than 40 attendees came in - and that number included 10 staff members. We cannot afford the financial liability of having a large festival. Given recent turn out at the last festival and at PCCO public meetings since roughly just after Summerset, we do not feel there is enough interest to warrant holding the festival.

There will be a 20th Birthday/Good Bye potluck party in June. Date/Site TBA but it will be in the greater Columbus area. Any funds remaining after the Council's expenses have been paid will be used for this event. Details to follow via the PCCO Announcements List.

The PCCO Announcements list has been changed to a read-only format for all non-officers. Public posting may continue on the PCCO Discussion board.

We've come a long way in almost 20 years. But every journey has it's end...and this is ours.

Blessed Be.

The President of the PCCO
